Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI ACP)
PMI ACP is the Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certificate provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA and is the most recognized certificate in the field of agile project management. As an ACP, you are equipped to communicate and understand the global language of agile project methodology.
It enhances your credibility as a professional. Organizations prefer to employ PMI ACP certified professionals in an attempt to increase the success rates of their project deliveries in agile way.

There are five key milestones which you need to complete in order to become a PMI ACP:
Meet the Eligibility Criteria:
PMI requires you to meet the minimum standards in both domain and experience to become an ACP
- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
- Total industry experience required : 3500 hours split as below
General project experience : 2000 hours working on projects during the last 5 years
Agile project experience : 1,500 hours working on projects using agile methodologies during the last 3 years (in addition to the general project experience)
- 21 contact hours of training in agile practices
Please Note: For those who hold a PMP and/or PgMP credentials, PMI would consider that you have already exceeded the “General Project experience” requirements. In other words, PMP and/or PgMP credential holders would only need to showcase their required “Agile Project experience” of 1500 hours as mentioned above.
Fill in the online application form:
The application form requires you to fill in your contact details, education attained, general/agile experience and domain education. IT-ITeS Consulting will assist and guide you in application form completion.
Please Note: Once you open an application form, it will remain active only for 90 days after which it will close
PMI, after receiving your application, shall review your credentials and the information provided by you in the application form to check whether it conforms to the guidelines stated in the certification handbook. The review generally takes 5 days post which you will get a confirmation mail to make the payment for the exam or otherwise.
Prepare for the Exam:
There would be 120 multiple choice questions in the exam from the following 7 agile domains/areas :
- Agile Principles and Mindset
- Value-driven Delivery
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Team Performance
- Adaptive Planning
- Problem Detection and Resolution
- Continuous Improvement (Product, Process, People)
IT-ITeS Consulting will gear you up systematically using its 5D model and thoroughly prepare you for the exam. It will also provide you with a realistic online exam taking environment to help you manage your exam time effectively.
Taking the Exam:
The duration of the exam would be 3 hours to complete the 120 questions. The computer-based test will occur at a Prometric testing site in your location. The 3 hours that you spend in taking the exam will make all the difference.
